Printed t-shirts are a great way to promote your company. They increase brand recognition and emphasize its professional image. In this article, we will guide you step-by-step on how to prepare for ordering printed apparel.
Choosing T-Shirts
The first step is to choose the right t-shirts. It's worth paying attention to a few key elements:
Weight – t-shirts with a weight of 140–160 g/m² are light and breathable, while those with a weight of 180–200 g/m² are thicker and more durable.
Fit – you can choose from standard, fitted, oversize, women’s, men’s, or unisex cuts.
Colors – water-based inks can be used on light-colored t-shirts, while on dark ones, inks with a base layer are necessary.
Brand – we work with many brands, but we especially recommend Stanley/Stella t-shirts. Made of 100% certified organic cotton, they guarantee high quality and excellent print results.
Determining the Quantity and Sizes of T-Shirts
At the planning stage of your order, it’s worth immediately specifying:
Sizes and colors – prepare a list of all sizes along with their corresponding colors.
Total number of pieces – screen printing is cost-effective from 25 pieces, and the larger the order, the better the price.
If the number of t-shirts is less than 25, we recommend choosing the DTF technique.
Number and Size of Prints
To prepare production properly, we need the following information:
Number of prints – specify whether the print should be only on the front or also on the back of the t-shirt.
Size of prints – indicate the exact dimensions of the prints. Prints larger than 35×43 cm are considered oversized.
Preparing the Graphic Design
To ensure top-quality prints, remember a few guidelines:
File format – vector files (AI, EPS, PDF) work best, but we also accept high-quality raster files (PNG, JPG) at 300 DPI resolution.
Colors – screen printing is based on the Pantone palette, so it’s best to specify the appropriate colors already at the design stage.
Choosing the Printing Technique
Depending on the type of project and quantity, you can choose the appropriate printing method:
Screen printing – ideal for orders of 25 pieces or more and designs with a small number of colors.
DTF – best for smaller quantities or projects with a large number of colors.
DTG – suitable for small orders where the design includes gradients or fine details.
Additional Services
We also offer a range of services that will enhance the value of your order:
Sewing in labels – gives the apparel a unique character and makes it look more exclusive.
Folding and packing – we can individually fold and pack each t-shirt in a separate bag.
Moreover, our bags can be made from eco-friendly materials such as potato starch or corn starch.
Finalizing the Order
Before starting production, make sure all details are settled:
Visualization – check whether the design and print placement meet your expectations.
Shipping information – provide the full delivery address.
Payment – production begins after payment confirmation.
Proper preparation of a printed t-shirt order speeds up production and helps avoid misunderstandings.
Choosing high-quality t-shirts, a polished design, and well-defined details guarantees a great final result.
